Teenific was created with the intention of being an online environment in which young people from around the world can come together and meet new friends. It was founded upon the idea of being a community that is run by teens for teens. The creators wanted it to be a safe area where young people could come to get advice in regards to trivial issues that face most teenagers on a daily basis, after all, that does allow for the best possible advice to be given.
The Teenific project began in the months following up to December 2010. The website was aimed to provide a community that teenagers located around the world can seek advice from people with the same situations and connect with other members. The aims of the project later expanded in 2011 when Teenific introduced our media and radio departments, expanding the website into what teenagers see today.
The idea of Teenific was originally created by Neil Doherty. It later expanded to include Petey Shivery and Austin Forrest as the initial founders in 2010. Today, Teenific has expanded into a world-wide known website for everything and anything teenagers. The original management and administration are still on the project today.
The Teenific website is set to release in February 2012 and has been long awaited. Teenific hopes to make a difference in teenagers across the world; not only with help and assistance, but with our volunteer program. Teenific is one of the few teenage help sites that is ran by teenagers, for teenagers - a place extremely unique from all other teenage help sites.
Teenific is launching today and it all kicks off at 4PM GMT with Luke Berry and Ryan Grainger being the “warm-up act” until 5PM GMT, when Teenific’s Ben Gallagher broadcasts live with the rest of the management launching the main site. Then Jonny Campbell goes live with the chart show from 6PM GMT until 8PM GMT. Followed by “The Great British Fry-Up” hosted by Ben Gallagher & Robert Daniels, going on till midnight.
An iPod touch will be given away during one of the release radio shows and iTunes vouchers up for grabs on the forum.
